Linn is located on KS Hwy 15 in Washington County, with a population of 395. Linn was first named “Summit” by surveyors, because it was at the highest point of the Missouri Pacific Railroad. The name was later changed to Linn and the city was platted in 1883.
The Linn community is home to 3 of the largest dairy operations in North Central Kansas, which include Ohlde Family, Willow Creek, and Meyer Family dairies.
Titan West and Linn Post & Pipe are also located in Linn, which are manufacturers of livestock handling equipment.
The City Park offers a swimming pool during the summer, two baseball/softball diamonds, RV hook-ups, a picnic area and shelter houses. Dining options include the American Legion and Just Left Bar and Grill. Lodging includes Carol’s Cozy Cottage B&B.
Linn is home to the “Linn Picnic”, an Annual Summer Event, which includes a demolition derby and kids games, held at the City Park.
